We can make buying or leasing a Ford more affordable by helping you use the Higher Rate Motability Component of your Disability Living Allowance (DLA) or War Pensioners Motability Supplement (WPMS).

How it works!
There are four simple steps to apply for a Motability car:

Step 1: Check That You Are Elegibility

The Scheme is open to anyone who receives one of the following benefits, and has at least 12 months' award length remaining when they apply:

  • Higher Rate Mobility Component of Disability Living Allowance (HRMC of DLA)
  • War Pensioners' Mobility Supplement (WPMS)

Around two-thirds of Motability customers drive, but non-drivers can get a car as a passenger. Similarly, parents and carers can also apply on behalf of a child. There are:

  • NO medical assessments
  • NO credit checks
  • NO waiting lists
Assuming that you are eligible, you can simply exchange your mobility allowance for a worry-free mobility package.

Step 2: Choose a Motability Scheme

The most popular option, chosen by more than 95% of Motability customers, is contract hire of a new car. This entitles customers to:
  • A new car every three years
  • Full insurance
  • Servicing, maintenance and repairs
  • Road tax
  • Tyres
  • Breakdown cover
  • 60,000 miles over three years
  • Adaptations and wheelchair accessible vehicles are also available if required
There is also a hire purchase alternative for people who wish to own the car at the end of the agreement.

Step 3: Choose Your New Car

TP Topping will be pleased to help you to choose a new Ford from the wide range of models available on the scheme, giving sound advice to help you make the best choice. Our Motability Specialist can arrange, if necessary, for your new vehicle to be adapted to suit your specific requirements.

Step 4: Make Your Application

TP Topping will guide you through the application process. You will need to provide us with the necessary documentation, which includes:

  • Proof of entitlement (the Award Entitlement Notice)
  • Driving Licence for yourself and other named drivers
  • Proof of address for named drivers
  • Details of any accidents or driving convictions involving yourself and other named drivers
CP50 Form – we can provide this at the time of application and it must then be processed and stamped by the DWP.

Please contact one of our team members or the Ford Motability help line on 0800 240 241 for further information.
